Nüshu, or “women’s script,” is the world’s only known written language used exclusively by women. Developed in Jiangyong county, Hunan, China, around the 18th century, it served as a unique means of communication among women. Today, Nüshu remains a powerful symbol of female empowerment and sisterhood. Happy International Women’s Day!
